At the event's seminar, ISM's President and Chief Scientific Officer, [**Dr. Alexey Peshkovsky**](https://sonomechanics.com/our-team/), will deliver a presentation entitled *"Turn-Key Ultrasonic Technology for the Production of Translucent “Water-Soluble” Cannabis Extract Nanoemulsions"*.  #### Seminar Summary Cannabinoids are insoluble in water and, as such, difficult to deliver into the bloodstream. When consumed orally, they undergo a slow and inefficient process of gastrointestinal absorption, leading to a delayed onset of action as well as low and unpredictable bioavailability. In his presentation, Dr. Peshkovsky will explain how to design and manufacture translucent, permanently stable, fully water-compatible cannabinoid nanoemulsions, which are efficiently absorbed by the body via many convenient administration routes (e.g., as beverages, edibles and topicals). Several categories of water-compatible bio-active ingredient formulations will be compared, with translucent nanoemulsions emerging as the preferred type.
