Industrial Sonomechanics (ISM) was honored to participate in the 4th International Process Intensification Conference (IPIC4) in Montreal, Canada, this June 2026. We would like to thank the organizers and attendees, many of whom ISM's President and Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Alexey Peshkovsky, had the pleasure of meeting. ISM was proud to support this event as a Silver Sponsor, as it continues to bring together leading researchers, industry professionals, and innovators in the field of process intensification.
We want to thank everyone who attended Dr. Peshkovsky's keynote address, "High-Amplitude Ultrasonic Intensification of Industrial-Scale Manufacturing of Nanoemulsions," where he discussed how high-amplitude ultrasound enables the continuous-flow production of sub-100 nm nanoemulsions for hydrophobic bioactive ingredients, offering significant advantages in efficiency, scalability, and pharmacokinetic performance over conventional processing technologies.
In his presentation, Dr. Peshkovsky highlighted how ISM's patented Barbell Horn® Ultrasonic Technology (BHUT) overcomes the longstanding scale-up limitations of conventional ultrasonic systems by sustaining high-intensity cavitation in continuous-flow operation. He also presented application examples demonstrating how BHUT enables the industrial-scale manufacture of all-natural nanoemulsions with enhanced gastrointestinal absorption and flexible formulation options, including both liquid and reconstitutable powder formats.
