What is a Barbell Horn®?
Barbell Horn® is the name of a group of ultrasonic horn designs that form the core of ISM's intellectual property. These devices are unique in their ability to resolve the main limitation of ultrasonic liquid processing technology—its scalability. Barbell Horns® make it possible to increase the size of an ultrasonic system while still allowing it to generate high amplitudes and processing intensities.
Barbell Horn®-based laboratory, bench and industrial-scale ultrasonic processors can, therefore, provide an extremely wide range of ultrasonic amplitudes (up to at least 100 microns) to enable even the most challenging applications. Our customers can count on reproducible post-scale-up results, where productivity rates are greatly increased while the highest finished product quality is maintained.
